Guide to linking to news items

Increasingly, individual items in this newslog is being linked to as a source of reference on other webpages, discussion groups etc. On account of the large number of news item that have been filed over the years and changes that may occasionally be necessary, visitors may not always find the item you intend. To link directly to the desired section, please consider the following instructions.

Every item on this newslog can be viewed in two ways: As an individual item on a page of its own, and as part of a longer page combining all items of that year. To link to the individual item, go to this individual item link page and select the appropriate link from the list.

You can also link to the item within the combined page. Every item within the page has a tag so that your browser should automatically scroll to it. These links are listed on this tagged item link page.

To link to the news section as a whole rather than an individual item, link to the newslog (latest) page.
