| Tram Züri West: Route 18 is coming! filed on: 08.06.2004 (8th Jun 2004) The realisation of route 18 has taken another step forwards: VBZ have applied to the transport ministry for a concession to build and operate this new tram line which will be built between Escher-Wyss-Platz and Bhf. Altstetten, serving Hardturm Stadium. Construction work could begin in 2006 to allow the tram to be operational in time for the European Football Cup in 2008. source: 20 minuten
