| Cargotram concept speads to Vienna filed on: 11.08.2004 (11th Aug 2004) Follwing the lead of Dresden and Zürich, Wien is planning to join the league of tram systems transporting goods. Wiener Linien wish to have a cargo tram prototype available in 2005. Regular traffic could be carried before 2010. The 'Liefertram' will run in the gaps between regular services at times of low traffic and also at night. Possible uses include supermarket supplies, materials to large construction sites and refuse collection.
