| Hybrid buses reduce fuel consumption by 30% filed on: 15.06.2012 (15th Jun 2012) ZVV has succesfully concluded it's one year trial of hybrid buses. These buses were tested on the regional system VZO and VBG, with fuel economies of 30% exceeding the expected figure of 25%. The buses were also able to maintain schedules despte their poorer acceleration. Timekeeping problems were encountered only in urban settings with frequent stops.
