Trolleybus update
With deliveries of the new trolleybuses complete, time is running out for the remaining Merdedes/ABB O405 GTZ of the batch 2-36. At the end of June, nine were still in service: 9-11/8-9/23/5/8/36. Additionally there were four driver trainers 4123/6/8-9 (ex 3,4,33,32). 23 was withdrawn immediately after the ending of the event it was advertising (the EURO 2008). It was followed by 18 on 8th July. 9, 19 and 28 are set to vanish in the coming weeks with 10, 11, 28 and 36 likely to last to the end of the year. The reason for their reprieve is overhaul work on their sister vehicles of the 101-143 batch, which are to be retained for at least another four years. 4126 is now also withdrawn, but two driver trainers are likely to be retained beyond the end of the year.
