Waldenburgerbahn to go driverless

Basel's BLT is taking over Waldenburgerbahn, and converting it from 750 mm to meter gauge, but they're not stopping there. The next step will be to convert it to automatic (driverless) operation. BLT is consulting with experts and supplier over this. The 250 million CHF rebuilding of the line will allow for this option, which could go live as soon as 2022.
