Ex Sernftal units to return home
In 2014, this newslog reported on the plan to repatriate the two ex-Sernftal units in use on the Atterseebahn in Austria. These units are almost identical to 9 and 10 of Forchbahn. This dream is now coming true. The two units dating to the late 1940s were formally withdrawn on 10th September. One of the units should return to Switzerland this autumn with the other following next year. However, Verein Sernftalbahn are still looking for donations.
