Tram returns to Locarno (but only for a day)

Visitors to the town of Locarno may be familiar with the disused tram tracks crossing the Piazza Grande. However, they hardly expect a real tram to actually turn up!

To add to the period atmosphere of a historic style market held on the Piazza on 8th October, the last surving original Locarno tramcar, Ce2/2 7 (now in the custody of FART) was transferred to its former track for static display from the 7th to the 10th.
