125 years of public transport in Zürich

Horse tram Talacker Zuerich2007 marks the 125th anniversary of public transport in Zürich — the first (privately operated) horse trams commenced operations in 1882. VBZ are planning to mark the date in style. In addition to the opening of the Burgwies Tram Museum (26th May), various other events are planned, including culinary highlights (1st June to 31st August), activities at this year's Züri Fäscht (6 to 8th July), a celebration (5th to 9th September) and a congress (8th to 9th November).
