Zürich tram in San Francisco?
San Francisco's Market Street Railway is a tourist attraction, operating a collection of heritage streetcars from across the world in regular service. The idea of adding a Zürich tram to this fleet is not new — especially in view of the special relationship between the two cities. But the difference in track gauge makes such plans seem rather hypothetical. The San Francisco Zürich Initiative, however, announce on their website that such a tram will be operational in June. We look forward to the result.
